Re: 5.0 is here!

@Miesmacher - Yes, you can return to version 4.6.8 without problems if you don't like 5.0. Just re-download the program from this link: http://www.bruji.com/dvdpedia/dvdpedia4.6.8.dmg (if you're using a different program, replace the program name in the URL). Your old database file will remain inta...

Re: 5.0 is here!

Two questions before I consider paying for an upgrade: 1. If I test it and don't like it, can I go back to the previous version hassle-free? 2. And is the annoying problem with the new iMacs fixed? (see <http://bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4330>) It's been months now that the (for me) mos...

Re: Switched to iMac 21.5" 2011 - iSight problem

Any news? I find I haven't added any books for a few months now and this is getting a problem. Yeah I know, I *could* enter the ISBN - but frankly, this was not what I was looking for.

If it doesn't work, so be it, I have to look for another solution. But some more info sure would be nice...

Cheers.

Re: Switched to iMac 21.5" 2011 - iSight problem

Hi Conor,

thanks - but where do I find the beta? I downloaded from http://www.bruji.com/bookpedia/beta.zip - but that seems to be a 4.6.7 beta and does look the same to me as does my 4.6.8.

I'll try to email some screenshots.

Cheerio,
Thorsten

Re: Switched to iMac 21.5" 2011 - iSight problem

Well, I installed the update to 4.6.8.

On the positive side: no distortion anymore, exposure seems ok, too.
On the negative side: still unfocused, still no barcode scanning.

I can't help being a bit disappointed.

Oh well,
cheerio,
Thorsten

Switched to iMac 21.5" 2011 - iSight problem

Hi,

the subject line says it all. I switched from an MBP 17" to a new iMac and am not able to scan barcodes since. From what I can see I think the picture is distorted (height stretched), overexposed and unfocused.

Any help is welcome, I am using Bookpedia 4.6.7. and OSX Lion.

Cheers,
Thorsten

Re: PocketPedia 2 is in the App Store!

What's strange still is that changes in Bookpedia (I changed the rating for a book) do not seem to be synced to Pocketpedia by normal sync - same as a change of rating in Pocketpedia does not get synced back. I did another "full sync" but for minor changes this seems rather tedious... (as...

Re: PocketPedia 2 is in the App Store!

"Not synced" for the title means there was a network error during the sync and Pocketpedia2 was unable to get all the information. Try running the sync by connecting directly to your computer. Under the airport menu select create network and then on your iPhone select the new network from...

Re: PocketPedia 2 is in the App Store!

Well, my lists of books now read "Not synched" for about half the entries. I know this has to do with the Amazon issue and is not necessarily your fault - but like this it is quite useless for me. Or am I doing something wrong?

Re: Amazon Killing Mobile Apps That Use Its Data

Hi, just learned about this - and I am shocked. Here's what I wrote to the guys: Hello, I might not be the greatest Amazon customer, but I guess I was an early adopter in Germany and have, over the years, left quite a lot of money with your great company. Great, however, is not what I just read when...

Re: "Special" smart collection possible?

Thanks for answering so quickly - and sorry for my late answer, I seem to be forgetting to click on that "Notify me"-button lately...

ANyway, that's unfortunate that my "complex" search does not work, but I am happy wih the qorkaround you suggested.
Thanks a lot,

"Special" smart collection possible?

Hi, I am using bookpedia and don't manage to make a smart collection that would be useful to me: What I'd like to have, eg when browsing in a bookstore, is a list of all the books I rated with 5 stars. That is easy, of course. However, having a lot of books and a bad memory, I'd like to avoid buying...
