Re: IMPORTANT - Pedia's for Apple Silicon Released
This has made my day!
Yet again, Bruji is the best.
Surely it's time for a paid update. Or please say where is the best place for anyone who wants to to make a donation.
Thanks, Conor.
I'm making more use of BookPedia in particular than ever.
Really good news.

Re: Amazon Search Not Working (Bookpedia)
Paula,
I had that experience - or something very similar… window disappearing almost immediately.
But only before that latest update.
Strongly suggest emailing Conor at support@ and sewing if he can help. Good luck!

Re: Amazon Search Not Working (Bookpedia)
@paulab,
Conor did release a newer version, 6.2.1, in May of this year. As always, he worked his magic and it's a lot more accurate.
Is yours that release? If not, suggest (keeping the previous one, just in case) and trying to update.

Re: Amazon Search Not Working (Bookpedia)
I'm finding the same.
Pretty much every Addition has to be made manually now - in Book-, CD- and DVDPedia.
It must be very frustrating for Conor… constantly having to revise the regexes for the parsing. Down to Amazon, of course.
Hoping it can be fixed soon

Re: Talk about muscle memory…
Thanks again, FineWine, for that comprehensive set of maintenance and troubleshooting instructions! All experimented with (I use Onyx and EtreCheck regularly). Nothing has changed, though, unfortunately. The Toolbar has somehow been set to align right - and nothing I can do changes that :-( The same...

Re: Talk about muscle memory…
Thanks again, FineWine! My apologies again for failing to explain what the problem is :-( …including how you want the Toolbar to look… It's not the elements of the Toolbar etc that I need to customise. Something appears to have changed (in a recent version of CDPedia ?) which means that - however I ...

Re: Talk about muscle memory…
Thanks, FineWine - Yes, I can customize it to my heart's content :-) My apologies for not being clearer. But I believe that the alignment of previous sets of tools in the Toolbar was always hard left . Now it it centred and I can't see any way - except padding with multiple fixed spaces at the right...

Talk about muscle memory…
… mine - and the way I automatically slip the caret/cursor to the top right in the Pedias in order to Edit . Without it, would I have noticed that the tools in the toolbar are no longer at the left - but the centre? Maybe. The tools' position has changed, hasn't it - in version 6.1.0? Is there any w...

Re: Big Sur
I used Migration Assistant to bring over all my data from my previous (10.14.6) machine to my new one (11.0.1 at the time I did that last week; updated to 11.1 on 2020-12-14). From the use I've made so far, BookPedia seems to work all the time. But CDPedia 6.0.1 invariably crashes when I try to sear...

Nora,
Brilliant!
Yes, holding the barcode above the red square works every time ))
Thanks so much.
What wonderful products the Pedias are.
Have a great weekend, on and all there

Re: 5.0 is here!
Nora,
Hello again
Have tried Bookpedia 5 again with iSight on the 'mid-2011' iMac; still no luck.
Perhaps there's a deft and particular technique (distance from camera, degree of movement, direction of movement, (ambient) light conditions) that I'm missing?
Thanks so much!

Re: 5.0 is here!
sulrich, But the Pedias are such amazingly good pieces of software that their developers deserve to… eat, surely? And very reasonably priced to begin with. And hardly designed to advertise the products they allow us to catalogue… Why, half the books and CDs I have in Book- and CDPedia are either una...
