Re: New Web Site

iOS 7 was a dog on my iPhone 4, really slowed it down. The latest update 7.1 has helped somewhat but I'm afraid this iOS version is more for the newer devices. Still, we survive with it :) and I do much prefer the new look to the old one. Oh, and than you for all the hard work testing, etc. Let me k...

Re: New Web Site

Hello, yes, the iPhone menu was a conscious decision. If I'd left the Forum link at top it breaks the menu into 2 rows so I removed it and left the bottom link in the footer. I honestly didn't think many people would be using the forum on the iPhone. I can see the submenus properly on my iphone so I...

Re: New Web Site

Yes, I see what you mean on the iPad. Well, I've done some more refreshing of styles, this time the heavy-handed kind and the forum looks good for me on the iPad. Hopefully this will (finally) fix the problem

Re: New Web Site

Alright, I've changed the order to what you requested. I also expired the pages manually in the hopes that that will make the styles behave properly.

Cheers.

Re: New Web Site

Can you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing please? There should be no red chevron or different font or color. I think you're seeing the old cached page. Try it in different forum topics and hold down shift while reloading the page. If you're still seeing weirdness, try it on another browser....

Re: New Web Site

Ok, what I've done is implemented 2 dropdowns, one for Search which has a number of options for posts such as "your posts, unanswered posts, unread posts", etc. And the second a Mark dropdown menu which has: Mark Subforums as Read and Mark Topics as Read . These were the only 2 options I c...

Re: New Web Site

Ok, Mark as read is back, in the footer next to Board Index. I've implemented to (according to the documentation in phpbb): Mark all of the topics in the forum as read. This can be a bit misleading, but what it does is mark all the topics in a particular forum, not the whole forum, as read. So for e...

Re: New Web Site

The little square on the left of the forums and topics is the indicator. If it's orange it's new, dark grey and you've read it.

I'll bring back the Mark as read option then, probably in the footer.

Thanks for your feedback.

Re: Editing Directly in Doghouse Maintenance

I implemented this feature in the new Admin pages. We're in the process of moving everything over to another server, with another language, different technologies, etc. It's taken longer than anticipated and I apologize for this but we're very close to making the switch, I promise. Since the new adm...

Re: Editing Directly in Doghouse Maintenance

Contributing from dvdpedia will never overwrite non-empty values. For that you need to use the Mirror command from the Doghouse menu. Please be sure to have as accurate as possible data because the mirror command will throw data away. Basically it mirrors the entry to what you have in the pedia and ...

Re: Editing Directly in Doghouse Maintenance

To enter various words, just select one from the dropdown list (or hit enter when one word is selected), then start typing and choose another. Some fields have a maximum of words you can select and will not display any more matches after the maximum has been reached. Allowing comma-separated entries...

sitenoise wrote:Cool. What does it mean it's "been implemented both in the doghouse and on our website"? Isn't the website the Doghouse?
Not exactly. The doghouse is a data repository and backend for the pedias. The website at doghouse.bruji.com is just the search functionality of the doghouse exposed.

Hello, this has been implemented both in the doghouse and on our website.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Thoughts on the Doghouse

I have updated the Doghouse so that only entries that match languages will get the moderated token. Thanks for your suggestion.
