Pocketpedia without Amazon

I am very sad because of the removing of Pocketpedia. It was one of my favorite applications on iPhone. But Amazon isn't everything. Can't you please make a new Pocketpedia without the Amazon search? From my point of view Pocketpedia's most important purpose is to reflect my DVDpedia collection on m...

Re: The new genre field

Most movies are a combination of several genres. If you in a previous version of DVDpedia wrote more than one category in the Genre field, the application would handle all you wrote as one category, and every time you wrote a new combination of genres, it would handled it as a new category. For exam...

The new genre field

I just want so say I love the new genre field in DVDpedia 4.4.2. I've been thinking about suggesting this before, but now there is no need for that. Instead of having hundreds of categories in all combinations like "Action/Thriller", another for "Action/Comedy" etc, I have now on...

Re: Bookpedia: Feature request for exporting to HTML

If you want more control over the search feature, I can recommend FreeFind.com. I have used them for several years, and I am very satisfied :-)

Re: Search feature

This thread was originally about Pocketpedia, a light version of the application made for iPhone and iPod touch. But a search feature for the web templates would of course be great, too.

Search feature

First of all, Congratulations with the Pocketpedia! It's an amazing little application, which I've been waiting for a long time. Actually, this is one of the main reasons for purchasing my iPhone. I've already given it five stars in my review on the (Norwegian) App Store. The only thing I miss, is t...

Re: Bonjour Sharing

I was going to post the same suggestion too, but then I found this thread. A bonjour sharing like in iTunes and iPhoto would have been great!

The future is now. On March 6 Apple introduced the iPhone SDK which allows developers to make applications for iPhone. Are you working with, or are you planning to make pedias for the iPhone?

Thank you very much! Now I've got the date format correct. But still I have problems with the text encoding. For example the Norwegian letter "ø" written by DVDpedia during the export from the [key:] tags don't look the same as an "ø" already written in the document. An example f...

Thank you for the help. I didn't even know that DVDpedia stored the exact time for adding all my entries. But even if I log in to my Mac with English language, DVDpedia still exports days and months in Norwegian; the RSS needs English abbreviations. Is there a way to fix this? I think I also need th...

Exporting to RSS

I am trying to make my own xml text template to export an RSS feed. But the RSS tags require the date format in correct RFC 822 format, for example Aug, 22 2004 00:12:30. Is there a way to make DVDpedia export with this format?

flickr export

I wonder if it's possible to export DVDpedia entries to a flickr account? Flickr has almost everything I need to share my movies with friends: Good browsing possibilities for cover art, search possibilities, keywords (genres), description (summary), RSS feed and e-mail notification when updating, mo...

Large .dcard files

I have recently discovered the possibility to export my DVDpedia entries as .dcard files. I thought this maybe could be an easy way to share my movies with friends by simply putting them into the Public folder on my iDisk (especially useful for Leopard users who can browse in cower flow view). But I...

I use DVDpedia, sorry I didn't mention that. The link was for CDpedia. It seems like iWeb has a limit by 500 entries, because I tried to export a list containing 525 entries, and the last 25 was missing. But the list I actually want to export isn't that large, so that's no problem for me. I found an...

Updating iWeb pages

Is there a way to add more entries to an existing iWeb page? Or do I have to make a completely new page every time? (which of course is very cumbersome when you have a large collection).

I have just tested the export to iWeb function, but haven't found a way to do this.
