Re: save full list of producers
I just tried that and there were still just four producers downloaded. Same here, after enabling "Produced By" and doing a simple test before posting. Besides, I think even if it would work, it'll put the producers in the cast section (as all other IMDB settings do) instead of the designa...

Re: save full list of producers
Has anyone noticed a similar limitation with other sites/fields, i.e. only the first N downloaded values are used?

Re: Half a star instead of 1/2
It's puzzling to me why Bruji chose to use symbolic+numeric combo images for displaying half-star ratings.

It's probably still unlikely DVDpedia will ever be renamed, regardless of how the software is enhanced/used.

Re: Playing a movie automatically sets Last Seen to today
Setting the "Disable Link Count" hidden preference will turn it off. See Nora's post for more details.

Re: Problem synchronizing my ipod or ipad
Conor mentioned Beta 19 of DVDpedia yesterday. Darn those pesky beta version numbers.

Re: Edit multiple items: Strange checkbox effect
It is the standard to use a hyphen to indicate a mixed state. But I think to use it in this case (to indicate that values are present but differ for the field) would cause confusion. Perhaps it would. :) As the first check box in essence just signifies whether it will (or not) update the field. The...

Re: Edit multiple items: Strange checkbox effect
Isn't the standard to have a hyphen in the box to indicate mixed checked/unchecked? That's what it usually indicates to me. Which gets me thinking, the way boxes can be explicitly checked to clear field values in 'pedia software might seem backwards. Checking typically means setting; unchecking mea...

Re: Edit multiple items: Strange checkbox effect
Thanks for the explanation. I think it makes sense, even though I've never explicitly (un)checked the first/only checkbox when editing values for multiple entries as a way to clear them. It's also possible to clear fields that contain values but display empty in Edit Multiple Entries by entering, th...

Re: Edit multiple items: Strange checkbox effect
This confused me until thinking about how all items in the Edit Multiple Entries window have a checkbox that's automatically enabled after modifying an item. It's the same with dual checkbox items; the first will be automatically enabled if the second is manually enabled/disabled, indicating there's...

Re: Bookpedia: need a more flexible "Times Read"
Are checkboxes only in 5.x? Yup. From Bookpedia - What's new? [Version: 5.0 (08/11/11)]: • Added 8 new custom fields: two date fields, two checkboxes, two tag fields (aka multi-value, blue bubble fields) and two regular text fields. If that's not enough to justify upgrading, you might want to skim ...

Re: collection selection/focus behavior
And thank you for fixing it so quickly, Conor. I'm satisfied with how (Shift-)Tab and arrow key navigation is working now that it seems predictable … Starting with a single entry selected in List view, Tab still makes the Title field editable (which is consistent with other apps, even if personally ...

collection selection/focus behavior
This change was made in 5.0.2: • Collection listing leaves item view selected when changing collections to allow for use of keyboard shortcuts on items. It's no longer possible to repeatedly use up/down-arrow keys for sidebar collection list navigation, which was convenient for me, because input foc...
