You misunderstand.
The individual full word values:
sci-fi
horror
action
etc
are in my auto fill list.
The abbreviations:
sci
hor
act
etc
are not in the auto fill list.
I was trying to be clear that the bahavior I was seeing was not because I had the abbreviated words in the auto fill list.

Re: DVDpedia: Stat Items as Sidebar Selections
Could you describe what you'd like displayed after selecting, for example, a "Director" stat collection in the sidebar? Would it be a subset of that info from what's currently in the Statistics view, displayed vertically instead of horizontally? Yes a subset. In your example, it would be ...

Re: DVDpedia: Tag Behavior
Well one is a specific bug report - one specific feature is not working as designed.
This post is a change of the design of two features, regardless of the bug.

Not that I see.
How does a smart collection showing "Clint Eastwood" equal the stats view of "Directors"?

Re: [DVDpedia] Edit window aesthetics
I agree. The DVDpedia details and edit pages are hard to read and hard on the eyes. I find myself searching for for fields and it almost makes my head hurt - it is a strange feeling, as I hunt for a field, it is hard to determine what is a a label, what is data, and what is empty. It would also be n...

DVDpedia: Entering Tags
According to an email from Bruji support, tag entry behavior is supposed to work one way, but I am seeing something different: Supposedly, you are supposed to be able to enter a "known" tag by typing part of a word, followed by a comma. But this only works for me if the tag field only incl...

DVDpedia: Sorting By Genre and Handling Sub Genres
I am not sure on this issue, but I keep thinking about it and struggling with it: How should sorting behave when you have assigned multiple values in the genre field? (Sometimes) I think that DVDpedia should treat the first value as a special "main" genre, so that when sorting by "Tit...

DVDpedia: Stat Items as Sidebar Selections
The statistics feature is very slick and neat. It would be useful to allow quicker access to some of the more common stats. I am thinking a new library sidebar item for common stats. You could pick your favorites (media, genre, director, writer, composer, actor, tags, etc) and that stat would be dis...

DVDpedia: Compare Sources
It would be nice to compare the data from your selected sources in a table. Once you had the comparison table up, if you could then cherry-pick which fields from which sources to use for your records, how cool would that be! Extra Credit: Have an option to download the data in the background a selec...

Re: DVDpedia: Update Single Field - and from single source
What I do is select multiple entries, invoke Movie > Edit… (Command-E), clear fields in the Edit Multiple Entries window that I want to update, then invoke Movie > Update from > site . One drawback is that other previously empty fields might also be unexpectedly updated. Exactly, that is why I was ...

DVDpedia: Move Field Data to Another Field
I would like a way to move the contents of one field to another field for the selected record(s). Use case: The "Summary" field is filled with useful information from Amazon regarding bonus features of the disc, but the movie description itself is not good, and IMDB has a better one. I wou...

DVDpedia: Awards
The Awards feature is nice, but severely limited: 1) You can't search or create smart collections based on the data 2) The window doesn't update when moving from record to record 3) There isn't even a right click button to bring up the window from a selected movie - you have to travel all the way up...

DVDpedia: Movie Source Linking Verification
After importing over 1,000 movies from barcode scanning and beginning to build the catalog, it can be tricky to know where the data is coming from, and if it is complete and accurate. It would be nice to verify that the item was associated with the correct movie. Here is what I think would be handy:...

DVDpedia: Tag Behavior
Tag Behavior in DVDpedia is different from my experience with tagging in other applications. I would like to see the following changes to the implementation of "tags" in DVDpedia: 1) Visually display tags as blue-bubbles, like you do in the Edit Window. I am not sure if this should only be...
