The Languages Field?

Post by sitenoise »

Not to be a pest, but I've waited long enough for Delicious Library 2.0 and would like to jump ship.

What's the deal with the Languages field?

Fr'instance:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0080360/

populates the language field with
Languages: English, Dolby Digital 5.1; French, Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround

Where is it getting that information? Why?

Welcome to the pedias. DVDpedia grabs information about the sound format of each language from the DVD details page. In this case http://imdb.com/title/tt0080360/dvd

I'm IMDb-centric

Post by sitenoise »

I think I'm way too IMDb-centric. And I realize I'm more focused on MOVIE information than I am on specific DVD information.

So what is it, 18 bux for this program? Seems like a no-brainer. DL feels like a toy compared to this. Something is wrong in the universe, DL keeps winning all these awards (geez, they've gotten something for the newest version they haven't even released yet ... screams of nepotism or something!) and I hadn't even heard of this program. It's just not right. All that time wasted in DL ...
