Re: Seeking template feedback
When it's all done, it should be very easy to modify the columns.

Re: Seeking template feedback
Excellent, glad you like it! I'll probably end up giving things roughly the same information density as dfProHTML, and more-or-less the same columns. Everybody seems to enjoy dfProHTML, and so I figure that it's a good place to start when it comes to information density. :) I'll probably be taking o...

Re: 10 star rating system
Oh, man, Apple's App's Store rating system is the worst ... so very, very bad. The fact that you can only view things through iTunes makes for one of the worst experiences imaginable. Although, Amazon's rating system might even be more heinous - it actually does calculate an average score, like 4.1 ...

Gamepedia: Mobygames Encoding
Bruji is reading the encoding wrong as it comes from Mobygames. Here is an example, from Katamari Damacy: The King of All Cosmos accidentally destroyed the stars and—having recovered—wants the prince to rebuild them. Unfortunately the prince stands a little less than half a foot tall, so recreating ...

Re: Seeking template feedback
Okay, it took a great deal of today to get the code in, but I saw that it was a much requested feature, so... * The template is now on-the-fly searchable! When you type in, as soon as you hit three characters long, it will automatically prune the table of anything that doesn't match. It searches on ...

Re: 10 star rating system
I definitely think that this would be a great feature. Personally, I /hate/ Netflix's 1-5 system. So, it gets my vote. I'd also say that I'd love a preference option for how the "My Rating" field is displayed. If you choose numerically, you'd get a '9', and if you choose visually, you'd ge...

Re: Seeking template feedback
Okay, just made a whole bunch of changes: * Zebra stripes on listing page * Secondary sorting always includes title second * Sorting the title column now ignores "The " at the beginning, just like Gamepedia. If there are other words it ignores, lemme know. * Added credits at the bottom * L...

Additional export options/keys
I have a couple export feature requests; hoping they'll be pretty easy to add in. Adding a meta option to override the user-set date format, such as this: <meta name="dateFormat" content="[string]" /> <meta name="dateFormat" content="%Y-%m-%d" /> (example) Thi...

Re: Seeking template feedback
Okay, so I've finished #1, #3, and about half of #4 (the listing page). Still have to do a lot of work on the details popups. And, of course, /lots/ of code cleanup.
As always, feedback is appreciated.

FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
I've been working on a new template the last couple days, and I was hoping to get people's feedback on it. I basically had three objectives: 1) Every item on one page that's quick to load, and 2) Make it sortable (if you click on any column head) 3) Make it easy to see additional information without...

Gamepedia: HTML export auto-open
Also emailed this one in, just filling folks in. -- If you do an HTML export of a collection with a space the name, it won't automatically open in your web browser afterwards. I'm /guessing/ that it's doing an open(1) on it without the spaces being escaped, and so it fails. A collection name of &quo...

Gamepedia: RSS HTML Entities (export)
I've already e-mailed this in, but I thought I would post it here in case anybody else has come across it and is wondering what is up. -- In the RSS feed, it isn't applying a proper entity transformation for ampersands. I have this in my RSS feed: <title>Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II</titl...
