Re: HTML Export not working correctly any more

Please try a brand new upload instead of an update to see if it fixes the issue. You can do this by holding down the option key when clicking the upload button. This is actually what I did when I discovered the problem - before I always did incremental updates and that seemed to word (or I didn't d...

Re: HTML Export not working correctly any more

I will email you my Database when I am at home again (this evening). Using the older pedia version did not help - I fear I have used the Export/FTP-upload functionality for a while now without much checking if the results are as expected... Thank you for your efforts - great support as always...

HTML Export not working correctly any more

HI, I've used for a long time now a slightly adapted variant of the FancyIndex template to export my DVD collection to HTML. But recently, it stopped working correctly. The entries in the list are not connected to the detailed information any more - if I click on an entry, the window that opens is e...

Re: Modifying Secondary Details of MyFancyIndex

The "edit" button from the export was not bringing along the details page for customization since it would have required a few extra steps to change the name inside the original template for the details to "MyFancyIndexDetails.html". But I have added that feature for the next ve...

Re: Modifying Secondary Details of MyFancyIndex

Thanks for the link - I hadn't found that thread. :) Alas, I didn't find the crucial hint there: Where do I find the file FancyIndexDetails.html? It's not in ~/Library/Application Support/DVDpedia/Templates or any of its sub-folders and Spotlight doesn't find it. I surmise it has to be somewhere on ...

Modifying Secondary Details of MyFancyIndex

I'm currently playing around with the new export template "FancyIndex"... finally a sortable table - thank you! I've modified the main table to my taste, but the secondary details is far to verbose for me (includes lots of data fields I do not want there). And I've been unable to find the ...

DVDpedia as a gift

Hi, I think DVDpedia would make a perfect birthday present for a friend of mine. How can that be done in a way that gives him the licence/support? Buying it with my name and giving him the key as a present violates the software's license and he is not registered with you as an owner of your product ...

Critical bug in Core Data

The German news site mactechnews.de just reported a critical error in Apples core data implementation in Leopard (sorry, the text is in German): Anscheinend hat Apple einen schweren Fehler in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard übersehen. In Anwendungen, die Apples Core Data benutzen, kann es sehr leicht zu einem...

"Statistics" in DVDPedia

Hi again, I habe been playing around with the statistics function in DVDpedia and have some feature requests / suggestions for improvement: - if for a movie (or boxed set, which have at the moment one entry per box in my collection) several directors are entered, the movie should be counted towards ...

Overwriting Backups doesn't work (and other minor nitpicks)

I bought DVDpedia about a week ago and like it a lot. However there are a few minor issues I'd like to bring to your attention. First, the program cannot overwrite it's backup file (at least on my system). My backup file 'dvdpedia backup.zip' is located in the folder '~/Documents'. If I select the s...
