Re: Buying DVDPedia... can I use it on both my Mac and PC??
You can use the Pedia software on multiple computers in your house, but it is Mac-only software and so it wouldn't run on your PC.

Re: FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
Unfortunately, no. That's a limitation of how the templating system works in the Pedia system.

Re: FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
I love FancyIndex, thank you so much. I have a couple of questions: 1.) How would I make the title sorting function ignore foreign articles (e.g. " der, die, das" and "le, la, les") ? 2.) On the details page the entry "Additional Information" links to Amazon and I woul...

Re: FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
Conor - do you have a list of all the articles that the pedias ignore at the front of a title? I'd be happy to update FancyIndex to include all of them.

Re: URL not showing in Fancy Index when published
Oh, I didn't know that. I don't see the field listed anywhere in here: https://www.bruji.com/howto/creating_templates/tags.html (although there is [link:url] and [similarProduct:url]) The template didn't include any of the [link] fields because I didn't want to have to worry about it creating broken...

Re: URL not showing in Fancy Index when published
There is, as far as I know, no field called "URL" in Bookpedia. As far as the templating system is concerned, it is still called customX, even if you've renamed it in your Preferences.
If you go into your Preferences, does it list URL under any of the Custom Field Titles?

Re: URL not showing in Fancy Index when published
Is it in the custom1 field or something? If so, you should just be able to change: <!--IFcustom1 <tr><td class="cbtrans">[translate:custom1]:</td><td class="cbkeys">[key:custom1]</td></tr> ENDcustom1--> To: <!--IFcustom1 <tr><td class="cbtrans">[translate:custom1]:</td>...

Re: Html export triggers Parallels
Why not just use open(1) on the html file itself? Doesn't that just open it in the system's default browser?

Re: FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
CollectionID is included in the popup windows for the template for all four applications. If you're not seeing it, which application are you using?
If you want it in the sortable list, you can choose to Edit the template and add it that way.

Re: Alpha channel recognition for images
Why does the Pedia software convert the image to a different format, anyways? Seems like if it came in as PNG, it should stay as PNG. Same with JPG, GIF, or whatever.

Re: FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
Oooooookay. I think things are finally good to go. Sorry for the wait - I've been spending my time on a different project . But, never fear! Below is basically FancyIndex 2.0. It has tons of UI updates, speed updates, layout updates, bug fixes, and on and on. It also includes a print CSS file, so yo...

Unified Templates
One of the biggest issues I run into when working on FancyIndex is, whenever I make a change to one template, I have to replicate to three other different files so that that it doesn't get out of sync. It would be great if I could consolidate everything down into a single template. If we could add a...

Re: FancyIndex: Seeking template feedback
Good catch! That's fixed now - I also removed the link to IMDb. I guess it's obvious which version I copied the template from.
