Re: I'm really really frustrated about iTunes Cover Import
I have been as well, but I was able to successfully import my large library in steps by creating iTunes Smart Playlists. I had to be careful how I did it though, and I uncovered some issues in my library data along the way. I documented what I did here: http://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&a...

Re: Help with FancyIndex mods
There should be no images in the main images directory as the image export is set to "no" in the meta tags for the main template only the details has a image export with a very specific size settings. You are most likely overriding the no image export settings in the export panel by selec...

Re: Help with FancyIndex mods
I searched your forum and found this little nugget:
Downloading the image is way faster using the "details" directory.
But it does bring up the point, what are the larger images in the images directory used for?
Code: Select all
img src="details/[key:coverImageURL]"
But it does bring up the point, what are the larger images in the images directory used for?

Re: Help with FancyIndex mods
In the file fi.js inside the images folder Images/FancyIndex/fi.js you would change the line: headers: {0: {sorter:'titles'}, 6: {sorter:'movieratings'}}, for headers: {0: {sorter:'titles'}, 1: {sorter:'none'}, 6: {sorter:'movieratings'}}, Actually, using your code snippets as a major learning poin...

Help with FancyIndex mods
After taking advantage of Conor's help in creating MyFancyIndexArtist http://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4088&p=16812&hilit=jschaffe#p16812 , I tried one more thing (tm). I wanted to dress up the basic text-only appearance by adding a column for the artwork. Unbelievably (!),...

Re: FancyIndex search performance
I updated CDpedia in mid January and did all the exports around the end of the month, so they were as recent as I was able to get. I'll take a look at changing the JavaScript files when I next get a chance. I manually replaced the JavaScript files on all my CDpedia FancyIndex pages, and what a diff...

FancyIndex search performance
Is there anything that can be done to improve FancyIndex search performance? I have several lists based on my CDpedia library. Here's my main page: http://web.me.com/jschaffe/Music_Library/Welcome.html . The largest list is the "Music Library (all)" link, which contains 4,127 albums. Enter...

Re: FancyIndex sort problem and other questions
However, you can still edit the template and move the columns around. I discovered my real problem. I was using Textedit and never saw the comment "(If you're using TextEdit, make sure you use the 'Open' command and check the box to 'Ignore rich text commands'.)" on this page: http://www....

Date added became 2011-12-28 on export
I exported my collection to MobileMe using a slightly modified version of FancyIndex in which I appended a column for dateAdded. iTunes and CDpedia show the date added to one of the tracks as 12/28/2010, but in the Web page, the date shows as 1 year later, 12/28/2011. It happened to only 5 albums ou...

Re: FancyIndex sort problem and other questions
For example here is a template where I have removed the label and rating column and moved the artist to be the first column. After clicking to install you will find it under FancyIndexArtist to try out. Thanks Conor, I tried it o...

FancyIndex sort problem and other questions
I've used FancyIndex to create a few different views of my CDpedia library at http://web.me.com/jschaffe/Music_Library/Welcome.html drawn from some smart collections. Two of the views, Music Library (all) and Freebies, do not sort by Artist when I click on the Artist column header. These views have ...

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
Unfortunately, I spoke too soon, there are some covers missing :( I did a little poking around, and it appears to affect more than one of my smart playlists, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll post more when I know more. It was only one of my iTunes smart playlists. It looks like I was successful by divid...
