Re: Pocketpedia2
@labyrinthworm @bigfella I agree with most of what you say. For me, DVDpedia has plenty of other sources of information than Amazon, which I never use because the information is very often inaccurate. I would be much happier with an Amazon-free DVDpedia and an Ipad version of Pocketpedia, using all ...

Re: Add Current Page As a Link For Selection not working
The Roger Ebert page has a number of redirections that make it hard to determine what the URL for the page should have been with our internal web view that also includes a navigation bar. In the future we want to update the bar and not make it part of the HTML, in which case that command will work ...

Add Current Page As a Link For Selection not working
Hi guys, If I select a link from my main info view page, such as, for example, IMDb, that page opens in DVDpedia as usual. If I then surf around for a while, still in DVDpedia, say to a review of the movie itself, and then I right click on that web page, one of the options in the context dialog is: ...

Re: No URL in Info View
I can only get the url field to show up in Prefs>Fields>Edit Panel, not in Info View. Am I missing something?jenv wrote:Preferences->Fields->Info View is used to select what fields are displayed in the Info View right? If URL is selected it doesn't show up in the Info View.
Kind Regards,
Keith

Re: True Mac - Killer App.
How do I know you bleed six colors? Easy, your support and genuine concern and attention to details is only done by people who care! "Care", is only a marketing term in the M$ world...I've been there. Not even a nice place to visit! How I agree with you! I have been involved in service in...

Re: Get better DVD coverart
I get all my cover art from http://www.movieposterdb.com. what's the deal with that web site. They have people upload posers they find on the web and then charge money for other people to download them? Seems creepy. What kind of "credits" do you get for uploading a poster? Is it possible...

Re: Auto-complete fields in Edit pane - Links
I prefer[red] TE's UI and licensing model but TY's price (initially free) was more influential. Plus some of TE performance-related bugs at that time were biting me. Upgrade pricing seems similar. Hard to go wrong with either choice. Yes, I agree. I too preferred TE's UI but it's not something I ex...

Re: Auto-complete fields in Edit pane - Links
I originally used TextExpander (formerly Textpander) and switched to Typinator Hi sjk - I trialled both of your suggestions and just bought a licence for Typinator - only reason being it's a bit cheaper than TE. Not only does it do the text expansions for me such as 'Roger Ebert Review' which is wh...

Re: Auto-complete fields in Edit pane - Links
Thanks for the feedback guys. If Bruji can't mod the program any time soon, I will give these suggestions a try. Kind regards, Keith Edit: Gee!! TextExpander is 35 bucks - I think that is more than DVDpedia isn't it? This either shows what great value DVDpedia is, or how expensive TE really is :) Ed...

Auto-complete fields in Edit pane - Links
Hi Conor, I wonder if it is possible to add auto-complete to the 'Name' field in Links in the Edit pane? I have lost count now of how many times I have had to type 'Roger Ebert Review" or "Blu-ray.com Review' and so on when I drag a review from Safari to the entry. I add reviews to all my ...

Re: Movies similar calls that are not duplicated
I've found that as long as they've got different details (ie: release date, theatrical date, etc.) they won't show up as duplicates. It also depends on what information you've got showing up in the main window. If it's just titles, you could always include the year in the title of the movie; Mi mej...

Re: Get better DVD coverart
Is there a way to get better cover art for the DVDs automatically? I know there are some programs that actually get the movie theater ads for the cover art. So is there something like that on here? I get all my cover art from www.movieposterdb.com. This site has original theatre posters as well as ...

Re: IMDb not updating again. DVDPedia hangs.
Just to close this topic now - thank you, Conor, for Beta 36 which has now solved this problem entirely (until, presumably, IMDb change things at their end again). As always, thank you for listening to your users and for responding so quickly to any problems or requests.
Kind regards,
Keith
