Sometimes.

Re: 5.0 is here!

Hi Nora; definitely! Although I can't get iSight to work (reliably) either. 'mid-2011' iMac (10.7.2) I still use Cue-Cat; is there a better Bluetooth alternative, please? Preferably simple and cheap :-) My DVDPedia didn't ask for the reg. string - presumably b/c I was entitled to a free upgrade. Hap...

Hearty congratulations, Conor, Nora and friends.

Great job!

What a lot of hard work - all so well worth it. Thanks :-)

Re: Bracketed logical OR in Smart Collection

Thanks, Conor - but
Conor wrote:… Then build the second smart collection with "book is in collection "history and archaeology" and…
I don't have that as an option for my Smart Collection. Only 'Collection ID, which doesn't work'.

TIA

Bracketed logical OR in Smart Collection

Can anyone think of a way, please, to build a Smart Collection (in BookPedia) of three criteria, only two of which are logical or, viz:

priority (a custom field indicating how urgent the book is to read) = 0

and

subject is either 'History' or 'archaeology, for example'?

Re: No "sync" button in PocketPedia

I have found that as many ...Pedias as you have installed on your desktop all need to be launched and running.

Also that the ports 8120, 8130 need to be open for whichever IP addresses your iPhone corresponds to (presumably on your (wireless) network). Good luck!

Thanks to you both!

Is this gleaming new version really a free upgrade?!

Linking to email addresses

As I make greater and heavier use of Book- and CDPedia, I want to extend its usefulness in other contexts. Eg associate a CD with an email address (eg of the record label).

Is there a way to use the Links feature with email addresses in Apple Mail and/or Address Book?

TIA!

Thanks again, Conor! It's really actually in those very places (Add and Edit) that it would be useful. Being able to enter values which I use that aren't already there (I review CDs and need to keep track of my requests/publications) is what I want - and have already used up all my four Custom-defin...

Thanks, Conor!

Will doing that in any way compromise the operation of CDPedia?

Presumably all such edits would be lost at each upgrade?

Thought: could it be made a configuration option, please?

Is it possible to change the default field titles in CDPedia

I have little use for some of the fields in CDPedia - 'mixed' for example; and those associated with borrowing.

I use the four Custom fields. But is it possible to change these permanently to headings I do use?

TIA....
