Files Loading on Desktop

Post by joshnorm »

I recently upgraded my iBook to a MacBook Pro

I installed Gamepedia and then attempted to move the files over from the old mac to the new one by exporting and throwing it on a USB drive.

I loaded it up and it came through but the items were on the desktop. I deleted them all and was just going to add them manually (or try out my iSight) but now everytime I open or close the program it loads the autofill.xml (when closing) and adds the Covers Folder, Database.pedia data and Plug-ins folders on my desktop.

How can I resolve this? Any help would be great.

What you want to do is quit Gamepedia and move the data folder into the default location (in your Home folder under ~/Library/Application Support/) or whichever location you'd prefer. Then hold down the Option key and restart Gamepedia. In the window that appears, press the 'Choose database' button and navigate to your Gamepedia data folder that you just moved. Now the program knows where the data folder is located and you're all set.
