Hi,
Just an idea, added three field's to DVDpedia all to support Amazon - Used Price, New Price and Amazon Product ID.
Just as you have a reserved place for IMDb Number, having the Amazon Product ID would allow the following to happen. First the URL might point to IMDb because IMDb's credit information is far superior to Amazon's and was used in the "Add". Having the Amazon Product ID would then allow Used Price and New Price to be downloaded via an "Update From"->"Amazon US". For example Bedazzled would have an Amazon Product ID of B00BLN4UPG and if the Amazon API allowed it, Used Price and New Price could be used to help sell parts of one's collection of DVDs online.
Not sure how much real interest there is is to DVDpedia owners for a feature like this.
Thanks,
Gotta
DVDpedia Request - Add New and Used Price from Amazon
Re: DVDpedia Request - Add New and Used Price from Amazon
Thank you for the feedback. This one is a simple feature to add as it's already there. Amazon refers to its IDs as Amazon Standard Identification Number or ASIN for short. Visit the main menu DVDpedia -> Preferences -> Fields tab and you can enable the ASIN field to be viewed. If an ASIN is available it will always be used as it gives an exact match at Amazon.

Amazon has pulled a lot of the market place price data from the API, so for most of the items they no longer send used price only sometimes the lowest new price.
