DVDPedia / Remote Control / Exiting a movie with Apple Remot

Post by JoshFink »

Just found this app today and I love it. I have to figure out how to get 500 movies in efficiently, but that's another issue.

When I load in a movie, I add the VIDEO_TS file as a link. I start the movie with the Apple Remote in Full Screen Mode.

The problem is how do I exit the movie and get back DVD Pedia Full screen mode from within the movie?

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Hi Josh,

The problem here is that once your playing your movie you are in DVD Player, and DVDpedia releases the remote so as to play nicely with other applications. So your remote control clicks go to DVD Player. You need to use a program like RemoteBuddy that will intercept remote click and map a button click to stop the movie and press the command-tab keystroke. Command-tab takes you to the previously active application in this case DVDpedia.

Thanks... Once I learned how to use Remote Buddy it worked well.
