DVDs linking to IMDB instead of Amazon

Post by eromalodi »

I have just found that most of my DVDs in DVDPedia are all of a sudden linking to IMDB instead of Amazon and I can't work out why. The ASIN numbers are still correct, but when I click on the title in the info tab it takes me to IMDB instead. When I left-click and select "Open in Amazon" it opens amazon.com instead of the usual amazon.co.uk and can't find the correct DVD. I have tried deleting everything but the title and then searching for Advanced Info from Amazon, but it still links to IMDB. The only way that I can find to get it to redirect to Amazon is by deleting the listing and starting all over, and I simply do not have the time or patience to do this with my entire library. I also can't understand why this is not happening to all the DVDs, even though it is happening to most. Any help?

To use the Amazon link, both in the templates and the info views, use the following key "[key:amazonLink]". The link on the title of the info view was updated to [key:url] as it's more customizable and fair to all the search sites. This key would normally also reflect where the data came from, including Amazon. Do check the "URL" field in DVDpedia to make sure it has the correct Amazon link and not IMDb. Although as mention above by customizing an info view you can force an Amazon link no matter what the URL field contains.
